Leslie Stradling : ウィキペディア英語版 | Leslie Stradling Leslie Edward Stradling (11 February 1908–8 January1998) was an Anglican bishop in three separate African dioceses during the mid-20th century. Born on 11 February 1908〔“Who was Who” 1897–2007 London, A & C Black, 2007 ISBN 978-0-19-954087-7〕 and educated at King Edward VII School, Sheffield〔The Times, Friday, Nov 27, 1925; pg. 9; Issue 44130; col E University News. Scholarships At Oxford.〕 and The Queen's College, Oxford he was ordained in 1934. After a curacy at St Paul's, Lorrimore Square he was Vicar of ''St Luke's, Camberwell''〔(Some say North Peckham )〕 and then of ''St Anne's, Wandsworth''〔(Church details )〕 before being appointed the Church’s youngest bishop in 1945.〔The Times, Monday, Aug 19, 1946; pg. 5; Issue 50533; col D ''The Youngest Bishop I. Caudwell. Category: Letters to the Editor., 1943–45''〕 Translated from Masasi to be the first Bishop of South-West Tanganyika in 1952, his final post was as Bishop of Johannnesburg.
